Varex Imaging is looking for a Quality Engineer to help support existing
products by reducing scrap and increase product quality on the production
floor. There are always interesting and challenging opportunities in production
that require us to work together as a team and leverage each other's
experience. We are a global team with several years of Quality under our belt
that like to work hard and have fun as we help make our products better.
Job Description
Varex Imaging is looking for a Quality Engineer that:
- Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products
- Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations * Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary
- Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed
- May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO regulations
- Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATIONS Required Certifications and Training
- Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility.
Experience Level with Business Tools
- Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring Quality Data, RMA data, and Non-Conforming data.
- Responsibility for Non-conforming material to be sent back to suppliers
- Corrective actions for suppliers.
- Checking and Filing DHR's
- Document Control / ECO's
- Calibration / Metrology
- Internal auditing Interface effectively with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Management to manage complex problems across several different departments.
Additional Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, to identify and address root causes of quality issues.
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to prevent defects at the point of creation.
- Analyze quality data and generate reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance factory quality and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of quality consciousness and teamwork throughout the organization.
- Support Factory Audits
Typical Education and Experience
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
