Our adult outpatient psychiatry service is expanding and we are looking for individuals who welcome the challenge and satisfaction of providing outpatient psychiatric care to a diverse population in collaboration with a motivated group of clinicians, educators and researchers. The Nurse Practitioner in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Program will provide services to adult patients, including triage, diagnostic evaluations, follow-up care, prescribing, telepsychiatry, and individual counseling and group treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team. There are also opportunities for supervising/mentoring nurse practitioner students and clinical research involving psychiatric inpatient and outpatient treatment. Schedule: Full-Time schedule totaling forty hours per week, including the possibility of evening hours; 50-100% of appointments/work via telehealth. *Please note, the telemedicine policy could be subject to change by Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Hospital if needed.
