Position Description

The EHS Manager will provide technical consultation, leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to drive continuous improvement and the pursuit of best practices (beyond compliance) for the management of environment, health, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for required reports to federal and state agencies and for the maintenance of records and files
  • Work closely with production management in solving EHS issues
  • Monitor all EHS aspects of the plant operation and work to ensure that the facility remains in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Manage the workers compensation program
  • Manage the plant vehicles
  • Assist with plant security
  • Keep current on EHS requirements
  • Drive organizational change as regulations shift over time
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required - EHS, Environmental Engineering, Safety or related fields
  • ASP or CSP certification or ability to acquire preferred
  • 6 to 10 years of experience required
  • A strong working knowledge of EHS regulations
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to plan and implement EHS programs
  • Ability to work effectively with management, as well as associates from the floor
