How You'll Perform the Role

The EHS Coordinator is responsible for the support of implementing and maintaining the company's environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations (OSHA, EPA, MassDEP, etc.). This individual will work closely with leadership to develop safety strategies, conduct training, coordinate audits, and cultivate a proactive safety culture within a plastics manufacturing environment.

This role offers growth potential toward positions across the broader company.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training to employees, especially Spanish-speaking team members, with a focus on hazard prevention, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance.
  • Translate and communicate safety procedures, labels, and documentation in both English and Spanish to ensure full workforce understanding.
  • Investigate work-related injuries and illnesses, conduct root cause analyses, and support implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain required documentation and submit OSHA, EPA, State of Massachusetts and or MassDEP reports.
  • Track and report key safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near-miss frequency, leading indicators).
  • Coordinate internal audits and identify job hazards and employee exposure risks.
  • Support and maintain state Drug-Free Workplace certification and provide related employee training.
  • Lead or co-lead the facility's Safety Committee to boost engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to sustainability efforts, waste minimization, and basic environmental compliance (e.g., stormwater, air emissions, spill prevention).
  • Assist with corporate EHS initiatives and special projects as needed.


What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Spanish-English bilingual (written and verbal) is strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
  • Familiarity with BRC, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 standards a plus.
  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with EHS software (e.g., Intelex, ISN, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
