We call it Love + Medicine Job Description:The primary responsibilities of the Retail Sales Associate are to maintain outstanding customer service, receive/merchandise product, and support the store management team. Sales associates are a vital team member of the pharmacy department working at point- of-sale areas within the pharmacies to ensure timely sales of finalized prescriptions and products to our patients. When confronted with a health care question or need from a patient, sales associates will appropriately refer the patient to the correct pharmacy staff member to resolve the question or need. Our sales associates must possess patience along with an innate desire to resolve customer needs, to develop and foster relationships with customers. Major Responsibilities: 1. Demonstrate superior product knowledge in assisting customers as appropriate within scope of practice of an uncredentialed pharmacy staff member per pharmacy law. 2. Sell merchandise while tactfully interacting with customers according to the organization's pharmacy standards. 3. Receive, check, and shelve merchandise in a timely manner to ensure an accurate inventory within the point of sales software. 4. Ensure merchandise shelving is kept clean and uncluttered to create a pristine environment. 5. Complete customer transactions using Point of Sale (POS) register system. 6. Prepare mail or packages accurately for transport to customers/patients 7. Effectively complete daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities, all opening and closing checklists/activities as established by the organization. 8. Effectively implement organization priorities to achieve sales and service goals. 9. Assist in the training and development of peers. 10. Adheres to regular and predictable attendance. 11. Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the pharmacy leadership within the scope of uncredentialed pharmacy staff member per pharmacy law. Education and Learning: REQUIRED High School Diploma or equivalency Work Experience: REQUIRED 1 year experience in a retail environment License and Certifications: N/A Age Specific Population Served: Nonage Specific (N/A) OSHA Category: Category III - No employees in this job title have a reasonably anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood and/or other potentially infectious materials.
