The Role
As a Principal Solution Architect at Contender Solutions, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced architectural solutions for our clients. You will drive the development of new products, act as a strategic advisor for customers, and ensure that all solutions align with the company's business objectives. This position requires expertise in ServiceNow, a deep understanding of industry best practices, and a proven ability to mentor and guide less experienced architects.
Travel Requirements: This is a remote role within the Continental United States and will require 10% travel.
Responsibilities include:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and mentor teams of Associate, Staff, and Senior Solution Architects to deliver world-class solutions.
- Develop and maintain products that support Contender Solution's business objectives.
- Provide strategic guidance on ServiceNow and other platforms, driving customer success by aligning with their business goals.
- Support and influence the architectural direction of products and projects.
Customer Engagement:
- Lead customer workshops with BPC support, ensuring all technical and business requirements are addressed.
- Guide customers through the adoption of new products, ensuring alignment with their current maturity and business needs.
- Field complex and difficult questions from customers, providing expert solutions and overcoming objections.
- Lead product demos, showcasing technical capabilities to meet customer requirements.
Technical Leadership:
- Design integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
- Develop technical designs based on business requirements, creating scalable and secure architectures.
- Contribute to the development of unique intellectual property, driving innovation within the company.
- Oversee technical reviews, ensuring the quality of deliverables meets the company's standards.
Mentorship & Collaboration:
- Actively mentor Associate and Staff Solution Architects, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of architectural solutions.
- Participate in technical interviews for potential new hires, ensuring the team continues to grow with top talent.
Certifications & Continuous Learning:
- Maintain a high level of technical proficiency, achieving and maintaining certifications in relevant platforms and methodologies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure that the solutions provided are cutting-edge.
Required Qualifications and Professional Experience:
- Experience:
- Proven experience in leading architectural design and development for large-scale projects, ideally in a ServiceNow environment.
- Experience in designing integrations between ServiceNow and other third-party applications.
- Track record of successfully guiding customers through complex technical questions and product adoption.
- Experience in leading workshops and presentations to customers.
- Certifications:
- At least two Certified Implementation Specialist certifications from Now Learning or equivalent.
- Additional certifications in relevant technologies are a plus.
- Skills:
- Expertise in ServiceNow platform and solutions.
- Strong understanding of industry best practices and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members in both technical and professional growth.
- Ability to develop and maintain complex technical designs and integrations.
Preferred Qualifications and Professional Experience:
- Experience in a leadership or strategic role within a technology-focused company.
- Deep technical understanding of business process management and architecture.
- Proven ability to drive product development initiatives.
