Respiratory Therapy Associate

Job Description

Maintains respiratory care supplies and equipment. Cleans respiratory equipment to ensure infection control and ensures respiratory care supplies are stocked on floors/units throughout the Hospital, as necessary. Maintains inventory and orders supplies.

Job Responsibility

• Maintains respiratory care equipment and assists ICU Therapist with ventilator cleaning and set up daily.
• Reports needed supplies, broken or damaged equipment, expiration dates of rental equipment, expired supplies, and other problems or issues to supervisor.
• Checks for leaky oxygen outlets in-patient care areas and reports to management for immediate repair.
• Maintains respiratory supply inventory and maintains accurate up-to-date inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Makes daily oxygen rounds and ensures floors/units are stocked with respiratory care supplies.
• Ensures respiratory supply shelves, bins and cabinets are organized and labeled, as appropriate.

Job Qualification

• Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
