Responsible for overseeing daily operations of Radiology Services. Required to frequently apply a set of management principles to a specialized discipline.

Must be capable of independent judgement and decision making in the areas of budget, personnel, patient services and administrative or professional programs.

Has twenty four (24) hour accountability for assigned area.

Administers and controls the radiology systems and quality improvement oversight and initiatives for Northside Hospital's network of inpatient and outpatient radiology locations.

The Radiology Manager will oversee systems for hospital image acquisition, storage and distribution; physician practice image storage and distribution; Center for Perinatal Medicine image storage and distribution; physician order acquisition, storage and distribution; dictation for radiology reports; 3D processing systems for imaging review and interpretation.

Provides direction to the Radiology technology team.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in Radiology or Business

Five (5) years technology management experience, preferably in Radiology or other healthcare related field

Good written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulatory standards

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

Prior experience with supervision of Radiology systems
