Job ID:111640 The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services. Job Summary As a Senior Project Engineer at Leonardo DRS Land Electronics in Huntsville, AL, you will be responsible for leading all engineering efforts for a project or projects on time and budget. A successful candidate will be a resourceful and self-motivated individual and will have a proven track record of effectively leading multi-disciplined engineering teams. As a Project Engineer, you will serve as the interface between the engineering technical team and other departments within the organization, including Program Management, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. Responsibilities are complex in scope and will require an individual to act independently to manage multiple assignments. Job Responsibilities Lead all engineering efforts for a complex project or projects on time and budget Ensure design compliance with all project requirements Review customer specifications and requirements and lead a project team to develop designs to best support the customer including cost as a key design variable Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assessments Communicate clearly (written and oral) with manufacturing, supply chain, program management, engineering support personnel, and the customer as required Participate in preparation of complex and significant proposals Interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians, and support personnel to coordinate, recommend, and confer regarding technical activities and progress Lead a project team or teams as assigned Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience or Master's degree in engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience Experience with Agile software development Knowledge and experience in multiple engineering disciplines and lifecycle project support Ability to independently lead a team of engineers and support personnel to complete complex projects Taking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
