Position Overview

The Cylinder Maintenance Manager position is responsible for all cylinder and liquid container maintenance activities within the plant operations. This position will oversee the daily operations of cylinder maintenance and the development and training of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for repairs and maintenance, and routine maintenance as per company quality systems including UE/Hydro testing equipment, blaster, and paint carousel
  • Maintain quality control of site equipment and perform preventive maintenance to ensure the safe and continued running of all plant equipment, including the execution of the CMS work order system
  • Work with vendors to manage material and supply chain to support department needs
  • Maintain preventive maintenance log and open maintenance request log to ensure accurate tracking of all services provided and forecast future project completion
  • Collaborate with Distribution and Customer Service teams to ensure timely deliveries of finished products
  • Communicate effectively in written and oral form
  • Work in accordance with all company policies relating to health and safety, including the use of proper PPE
  • Schedule and direct monthly safety meetings.
  • Maintain safety and compliance files (DOT, APCD, Hazmat, etc.)
  • Maintain, monitor, and evaluate KPI metrics
  • Oversee UE and hydro test technicians to meet DOT specifications
  • Maintain cylinder tracking processes and cylinder utilization requirements
  • Performs all functions of the Cylinder Maintenance Lead and other tasks required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and five or more years related experience
  • Understand Compliance issues and safety-sensitive areas
  • Ability to operate or willing to train for forklift operation and safety procedures
  • Strong attention to details, highly organized, computer literate
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high volume shipping distribution center
  • Exceptional teamwork skills and maintains good relations with team members to ensure deliveries consistently arrive on time
  • Must possess appropriate mathematical and analytical skills to determine the acceptability of the product(s) based on established criteria
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Effective oral communication

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
