CAD BIM Technician Trainee

NEXT Electric, LLC seeking full-time BIM Technician Trainee in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Job Summary

• Learns application and process for drawing creations utilizing AutoCAD.
• Produces draft drawings of electrical power and lighting for final approval and applies final changes to drawings as directed.
• Creates draft master drawings showing relationships of proposed installation in facilities for final approval.
• Works under direct supervision of BIM Technician to provide CAD/BIM support services internally and externally.
• Maintains document filings and folder structures as directed.

Qualifications

• Proficient computer and MS Office software (Excel and Word) skills.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex construction documents.
• AutoCAD and/or Revit coursework or on-the-job training experience a plus
• Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) a plus.
• Prior construction or commercial electrical experience a plus.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles, and drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
