Court Coordinator - Mental Health Treatment Court (MHTC) Hourly Pay Rate $28.21 - $42.30 Closing Date: March 21, 2025 or upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions received Job Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Judge and Judicial Operations Manager-Pretrial (JOM), the Mental Health Treatment Court Coordinator plans, organizes and implements Mental Health Treatment Court (MHTC) activities, within the policies and procedures for the MHTC established by the Chief Judge and Policy Team. Facilitate and coordinate efficient and effective court operations and case processing of MHTC cases. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with court administration, judiciary, Clerk of Circuit Court, District Attorneys, Public Defenders, private attorneys, BHD and other stakeholders to identity and resolve system/program issues. Ensures efficient and timely MHTC case processing from referral to program completion.
- Schedule and coordinate weekly MHTC Team meetings and bi-monthly MHTC policy team meetings. Develop agendas and prepare materials. Take, transcribe and disseminate meeting notes and materials for other system partners including state and national partners.
- Ensure appropriate the implementation of program policies and procedures. Annually review program documents for suitability and applicability. Maintain and monitor adherence to policies.
- Serve as liaison between program and providers. Identify and communicate program issues to the Chief Judge and JOM. Direct the timely, efficient and consistent application of objective program eligibility criteria.
- Review program performance, prepare annual report and annual action plan. Provide interpretation and analysis of data for use in strategic and sustainability planning.
- Work with the Chief Judge, MHTC Judge, JOM, State and National organizations to create goals, objectives and outcome measures for the MHTC.
- Develop and submit grant/funding applications. Market program to community agencies and funders. Establish long-term sustainability plan. Gather statistics through the pretrial database and other data sources as required by funding authorities.
Minimum Education & Years of Experience Required:
- Current Wisconsin resident
- Possession of a bachelor's or higher degree from an approved college or university in criminal justice, social work or related.
- Three years of prior experience working in Case Management in Treatment Courts or Clinical Services
Preferred Experience
- Master's degree in criminal justice, social work or related.
- Licensed or Certified LPCIT, LPC, APSW, LCSW
- Member of National Association of Drug Court Professionals
- Member of Wisconsin Association of Treatment Court Professionals
- Management and supervisory experience overseeing clinical services in mental health treatment/programming

- Makes decisions of responsibility and final results that affect more than one department or a department with multiple units; substantial analysis is required, and many factors must be weighed before a decision can be reached.
- Understand and follow instructions.
- Execute decisions within limits of standard policy and procedures.
- Interpret and adapt to established practices and procedures using independent judgment to meet situations to which applications are not clearly defined.
- Perform within difficult or complex working conditions or situations not easily evaluated; decisions require considerable judgment, initiative and ingenuity in areas there is little precedent.
- Act independently in the formulation and administration of policies and programs for major departments or functions.
- Knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets.
