The Project Manager is responsible for leading and successfully managing all post-sale fabrication and warehouse service projects orders through the production and fulfilment process to meet or beat estimated cost and quality targets. The type of projects managed by a project manager are custom exhibit/tradeshow/museum/retail fabrication, rental, and warehouse services projects which are produced and fulfilled in a fast-paced job-shop environment. Project Managers are also knowledgeable of raw and finished materials and custom fabrication techniques and standards.

Responsibilities



  • Provide sales, estimating, and production personnel with property details - have expert property knowledge
  • Attend PTW and learn all project details and objectives
  • Check project estimate for accuracy against project details in PTW
  • Create or manage the creation of change orders as required
  • Request detailing for project
  • Lead detailer through detailing process to achieve project objectives
  • Provide detailer with property information, including TRACE information
  • Provide detailer with engineering solutions
  • Provide detailer with purchased item information
  • Confirm property use through TRACE, adjust reservation as required
  • Submit rental depot request with accurate parts requirement to depot
  • Issue control drawings to AM/AE for approval
  • Identify items for purchase and optimize purchase to meet or beat cost and quality targets
  • Submit requisition request to procurement, provide information for accurate final purchase
  • Add/alter purchase request for changes/adds as required
  • Submit shop paperwork and drawings to appropriate shop contacts
  • Setup PTP meeting do review all production objects with production
  • Monitor shop progress and alert production mgmt. and sales to concerns
  • Ensure production personnel are guidance to achieve project objectives as they change
  • Coordinate the receival of all required materials for project objectives
  • Review and approval quality of produced items
  • Run cost reports and alert production mgmt. of possible cost over-runs
  • Coordinate graphics production with Sales, to include accurate graphic sizes, outputs, etc.
  • Coordinate outbound shipment with Sales to ensure timely and accurate shipments
  • Lead detailer to produce accurate setup drawing kit
  • Provide setup drawing kit to sales and/or ExpoServices as required
  • Working with Sales or Independently (as required) meet with ExpoServices to download project requirements
  • Check all shipping documents for shipment accuracy
  • Provide sales and Expo team with ongoing field support including the production or shipping of additional items
  • Upload final installation set of drawings to GBMS
  • Ensure new properties are added to TRACE
  • Provide Estimating with property details

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in Exhibit Construction/Management, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Management, Industrial Design or related fields or 2-5 or more years in the industry as a Project Manager or operations support role.
  • Proficient knowledge of TRACE
  • Proficient knowledge of GBMS
  • Travel 2-4 times per year
