Summary - Responsible for assisting Internal Audit management as directed and conducting financial and operational audits for the Bank. Responsible for performing routine daily tasks and participates in department projects by performing the following duties: Duties and Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities May directly supervise Staff Auditors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university, preferably in Accounting, or four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of four years of internal or external audit experience. Knowledge of audit terminology is required. Overall banking knowledge is required. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Ability to learn bank-specific software such as SCOUT, IBS, ADP, etc. Ability to use basic office machines. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional overnight travel within the Bank's 3 state footprint required in addition to overnight travel for conferences, training, etc. Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
