NOTE: This position will be hybrid (3 days onsite) for candidates who are located within commutable distance from our FIS Office locations throughout the US.

About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, data warehousing, ETL processes, and test automation. This role requires a proactive individual who ensures the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of our data systems.

About the team:

We are the IBS (Integrated Banking Service) Data & Analytics Team. IBS is a hosted core processing system easily scalable to meet theneeds of banks from $500M to $50B in assets.

We are currently developing for one of the largest data warehouses within FIS along with developing for other applications tied to the data warehouse. Looking for people to be team players and thus not siloed with one technology or skill set.

What you will be doing:

  • Reviewing progress with IT leadership, technical teams and internal customers.

  • Monitoring, evaluating, managing and executing audit processes.

  • Providing subject matter expertise to IT teams on quality assurance methodologies.

  • Making recommendations for improvements to the software development process.

  • Designing and monitoring performance metrics program for quality improvement.

What you will need:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse, ETL/ELT, and Cloud projects.

  • Strong SQL skills for writing and optimizing complex queries.

  • Experience with PL/SQL Developer, Toad for Oracle, or similar tools.

  • Proficiency in Power BI, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, or similar reporting tools.

  • Hands-on experience with Python for backend (database/data processing) test automation.

  • Strong understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.

  • Familiarity with data warehouse and ETL processing concepts.

  • Knowledge of Snowflake and cloud computing frameworks.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience with JIRA, Zephyr/X-Ray, or similar tools.

  • Knowledge of US banking systems.

  • Understanding of ETL, Snowflake, and data modeling concepts.

  • Experience with DataStage processing.

  • Familiarity with Scrum/SAFe Agile methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience with automation tools.

  • Unix user experience.

  • Testing-related certifications such as ISTQB / ASTQB.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $89,180.00 - $149,820.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
