This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional Guest Services as part of our Housekeeping TEAM, ensuring the hotel's appearance and cleanliness. As a Housekeeping Inspector, your primary responsibility is to guarantee guest satisfaction by creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere that makes guests feel at home from the moment they enter their room. You will foster a sense of well-being and revitalization for our guests. Additionally, you will provide leadership and inspire our Housekeeping TEAM to pursue excellence and encourage repeat business.

Job Overview:

To supervise, direct, assist, and assure the completion of housekeeping tasks assigned to room attendants and house-persons in guest rooms and corridors to maintain high standards of cleanliness. To supervise and assist with all housekeeping activity as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:
* Deliver best-in-class service to our guests and team members with engagement and thoughtfulness
* Promptly address guest concerns and requests to ensure their satisfaction
* Conduct thorough inspections of guestrooms and public areas to surpass guest expectations for cleanliness and in-room appliance functionality
* Support the training of new team members while fostering strong, collaborative relationships within the Housekeeping department
* Oversee inventories of amenities, chemicals, and supplies, ensuring timely reordering to maintain seamless operations
* Promptly report any maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors through detailed work orders, ensuring a seamless and pleasant experience for every guest

Compensation: $20-$21/Hour

Related Functions:



  • Assist room attendants and house-person in securing all supplies and tools necessary for the completion of their jobs as the need arises. Making sure to only utilize left hand for grasping and repetitive motions.
  • Report all suspicious persons or actions, hazardous conditions, etc. to the Security Department.
  • Respond to guest questions. Provide guest assistance, directions, and information as requested.
  • Provide instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations.
  • Other duties as assigned such as assisting Room Attendants when necessary.
  • Visually inspect VIP rooms, guest rooms and corridors for cleanliness and appearance. Prepare work orders for shampooers to clean carpets and supply room attendants to maintain par stock in closet, etc.
  • Train and monitor performance of room attendants and house-persons. Provide organization, instruction, guidance, communication, counseling, as well as exercise good judgment, while reinforcing high standards of quality. Prepare work performance reports on all personnel assigned to work and submit to the Housekeeping office. Ensure all jobs are completed within the shift. Prepare P.M. Room Status Report.
  • Take requested inventories of furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, etc. Ensure that both carts and linen/supply closets are kept clean, neat, and stocked according to departmental guidelines. Upon inspection of VIP rooms, make certain all VIP supplies are in place.
  • Report all maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors via work orders. Telephone deficiencies considered emergencies (i.e. overflowing toilets or broken pipes in bathrooms, lights out in bathrooms, closets. Or corridors, broken mirror or window) to the maintenance department.
  • Expedite special guest requests, such as extra towels, blankets or pillows


Physical Demands:
* Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move materials weighing up to 10lbs
* Ability to work much of the shift standing/moving throughout the building, bending, stooping, and reaching

  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
  • Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Associates who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).


Qualifications:
Education:
* High school diploma or its equivalent

Experience:
* Minimum six months supervisory experience or one year of comparable Housekeeping experience acceptable.
* Previous hotel experience in rooms division preferably in hotels.
* Confident utilizing MS outlook, Word, and Excel
* Previous experience with hotel PMS systems a plus.
