Your Opportunity as the Lead, External Events The Lead, External Events is responsible for coordination and support of large scale, external-facing Company meetings & events. This role will be responsible for end-to-end project management support of events including but not limited to; venue selection, vendor selection, contract management, coordination of vendors, cross functional business teams etc. You will support event logistics, materials and may be responsible for prepping leaders. Location: Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron) Work Arrangements: Hybrid ~30% in office expectations In this role you will: External-Facing Event Management
Plan and execute large scale external-facing company events such as the North American Sales Meeting, Renewal & Discovery Meeting, Mission Breakfast, Investor Day, Akron Pride Festival, etc. Develop and coordinate external-facing meetings and events. Coordinate all logistics, communication, registration & mobile technology, special events, entertainment, menus & product incorporation, and attendee materials. May include booking venues, special guests, entertainment and general project management of large-scale events. Point of contact for issue resolution. Establish, adhere and communicate budget and expenses associated with large events to leadership. Ensure leadership preparation for events (logistics, materials etc.)
Commercial Event Management (Orrville Campus):
Partner with Sales & Marketing Enablement to establish an annual calendar outlining known events, planning horizon, black out and availability windows quarterly for large-scale customer engagements on the Orrville Campus Lead or support logistics for key meetings inclusive of planning meeting cadence, agenda, attendee lists, communications, and other details in partnership with Sales & Marketing Enablement & Smucker Experience team. Coordinate internal subject matter experts and external vendors (as needed) to ensure all details of an event are aligned. Establish, adhere to and communicate budget and expenses associated with large events to leadership
Vendor management & Contract Negotiation

Bachelor's Degree Experience planning large scale corporate events (500+ attendees, $500K+ budgets, etc) Prior project management experience leading internal cross-functional teams as well as external vendors through end-to-end planning process Experience working with all levels of the organization including company leadership Ability to develop and maintain vendor relationships Strong presentation skills - ability to present information to large audiences and serve in host roles at events with public speaking Highly organized Collaborative team player Excellent communication skills Ability to travel 1-2 times per month
