STS Technical Services is hiring an Aircraft Records Specialist for a full-time, 40-hour per week position with an airline in Las Vegas. This role is expected to last 3-6 months, with the potential for direct placement with the airline afterward. The Specialist will ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements for the retention and maintenance of records related to aircraft, engines, and components. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, hard-working professional with expertise in aircraft records, able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Update maintenance tasks, component, and time-controlled records in an online tracking system (eMRO, TRAX) according to regulatory and company requirements.
- Process transactions for the removal and installation of components and assemblies.
- Conduct aircraft record audits of line and base maintenance work packages.
- Maintain aircraft and engine log books; perform data entry and filing tasks.
- Scan and index paper documents for electronic storage.
- Support additional aircraft records-related responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in analyzingand auditing aircraft records using a Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) tracking system, such as eMRO, TRAX, SCEPTRE, IFS Maintenix, Traxall, PMI, AMOS, or STC.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for up to 10 hours per day.
- Strong computer skills (keyboard proficiency, Microsoft Office, web-based applications, SharePoint, and shared network drives).
- Ability to understand and perform basic mathematical equations.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- US citizen or authorized to work in the US (Note: STSES does not sponsor work visas).
- Proven high performance (quality and quantity).
- Commitment to complying with non-disclosure agreements and confidentiality policies.
Preferred:
- TRAX or eMRO application experience.
- Higher education degree (aviation-related preferred).
- FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant licenses.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance and hands-on work.
- Experience with induction of new or used aircraft/engines, including records reviews and the development of conformity packages for FAA (or equivalent regulatory) submission.
