Location Sheppard AFB, TX Job Posting No 113087 you the page and click on the "Apply for this position" button Start Date ASAP Contract Sheppard Aircraft Maintenance Salary Range $32.09 Posting Date 03/03/2025 Union Yes FLSA Status Non-Exempt Shift Work 3rd Shift FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible M1 is looking for a Tow Crew Member with the following knowledge and experience: CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY Perform duties associated with the towing of aircraft to include supervisory, tow vehicle operator, brake rider and wing walker. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Will be in command and take a position that will ensure surveillance of the towing procedures and performances of other team members. 2. Use checklist covering all items pertaining to the safe movement of the type aircraft being handled. Brief towing personnel prior to aircraft movement and ensures all applicable steps of checklist are completed to ensure safe movement of aircraft. 3. When tail and wing walkers are not required, nose walker/supervisor may ride in cab of tow vehicle where they can observe the path to be traversed and direct actions to tow vehicle operator and brake rider. 4. Performs daily maintenance and inspection of T ow vehicles. Maintain tools and equipment with applicable directives. 5. Tows aircraft as directed. As a tow vehicle operator, performs the duties of tow team supervisor in accordance with the requirement of AETCI 21-101 and other applicable directives. 6. Maintains the towing sequence chart and completes necessary maintenance documentation. 7. Conducts radio communications over the maintenance network. 8. Installs and removes stiff knee on aircraft. 9. Completes all necessary manual and automated records required by USAF and Company directives. 10. Complies with the requirements of the FOD prevention, housekeeping, tool control, environmental and safety programs. 11. Moors and installs aircraft intake exhaust covers in accordance with applicable directives when required. 12. Follows technical data, manuals, regulations, and other maintenance directives as required. 13. Performs other related duties as assigned. In addition, the candidate should possess the following requirements: CLASSIFICATIONS QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge - A basic knowledge of the rules and regulations governing the movement of aircraft is required. A basic knowledge of aircraft brakes systems is required. Education - Completion of high school or equivalent is required. The ability to read and write and to comprehend technical data is required. Experience - No experience requirements are established. Special Conditions - Possession of a valid driver's license is necessary to obtain flight line driving privileges. Must be able to lift a minimum weight of 50 lbs. and have the ability to climb ladders and stairs. Normal color vision is required.
