THIS POSITION IS APPOINTIVE SERVICE/GRANT FUNDED

$2,130.46 to $2,343.51 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional work directing and coordinating functions of specially assigned programs and projects for the Housing & Human Services Department. Developing, planning, and administering projects that provide a critical County service, and which are complex in nature and/or large in scope. Work includes contract compliance, monitoring reviews, and reporting results for public services programs and/or affordable rental housing projects to ensure compliance with property management, eligibility certification, rent affordability, and all applicable Federal, State, and local program requirements and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Social Science, English, or a closely related fieldPLUS four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience in administering or managing programs or projects in the area of assignment. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Knowledge and/or experience with affordable rental housing contract compliance for HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) program, and/or State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program, and/or Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) or other applicable housing programs in a governmental organization. A Master's degree is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
