  • Refugee Resettlement & Immigration Services - Assisting families fleeing persecution and seeking a new beginning.
  • Behavioral Health & Counseling - Providing emotional and mental health support for individuals and families in crisis.
  • Adoption, Pregnancy, & Parenting Support - Guiding young parents with resources to build stable, nurturing homes.
  • Adult Day Services - Offering a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for older adults and individuals with disabilities, helping them maintain independence and social connection.
  • Hoarding Intervention Services - Providing specialized support to individuals struggling with hoarding disorder, helping them regain safe and stable living conditions.
  • Emergency Assistance & Case Management - Offering relief for individuals and families facing economic hardship.

About the Role:

As Executive Director, you will serve as the chief strategist, advocate, and ambassador of Catholic Charities. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will lead a dedicated team of professionals across program operations, finance, human resources, advancement, and community engagement. This role requires a leader who is mission-driven, will prioritize the needs of people affected by poverty, can build strong relationships, and ensure financial stability in an ever-evolving nonprofit landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a visionary long-term plan that aligns with the mission to serve people impacted by poverty and responds to emerging community needs.
  • Operational & Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, program development, and financial health, ensuring the respect and dignity of all those who seek assistance, delivery of high-quality service, and compliance with agreements and regulations.
  • Board & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and the Board of Trustees, ensuring transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment with the mission.
  • Fundraising & Donor Relations: Partner with the Director of Mission Advancement to cultivate relationships with donors, foundations, and community partners to expand financial resources.
  • Community Advocacy: Represent Catholic Charities in public forums, build relationships with government leaders, faith communities, and social service agencies, and advocate for policies that support our mission.
  • Talent Development & Leadership: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence among staff and volunteers. Identify, mentor, and develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Mission Alignment & Faith Leadership: Ensure that all programs and operations reflect the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and align with tenets of the Catholic faith.


What We're Looking For:

  • Mission-Driven Leader: A deep commitment to Catholic Charities' mission and Catholic Social Teaching, with a heart for service.
  • Proven Leadership Experience: 8-10 years of senior leadership experience with a track record of success in strategic planning, operations, and fundraising.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Financial & Fundraising Acumen: Strong experience in budget management, fundraising, and donor relations, with the ability to secure sustainable funding.
  • Board & Community Relations: A collaborative relationship-builder who is skilled in working with Boards, donors, and external partners.
  • Practicing Catholic: committed to advancing the Church's mission through service.
