Position Summary |
The primary location of this position is the Cullowhee, NC campus. This position is designated as being exempt from the State of North Carolina Human Resources Act (
EHRA).
The individual in this role is responsible for supporting the university's residential living communities by managing student conduct cases and coordinating training and professional development initiatives. This individual will dedicate 30 hours per week to the management, processing, and resolution of low-to-mid level student conduct cases originating in residential living. Additionally, 10 hours per week will be devoted to the development and facilitation of training and professional development programs for Residence Life staff, focusing on their broader roles within residential living.
This role is critical in ensuring a consistent and educational approach to upholding community standards and preparing Residence Life staff for success in their responsibilities.

- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism.
- Strong collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork and relationship building.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution, leadership development, and training facilitation.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship from the employer.
- Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, social work, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in student conduct, residence life, or related areas within higher education, including graduate assistantship experience.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing training and professional development programs.
- Familiarity with best practices in residential living and student accountability.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, laws, and regulations such as FERPA, Title IX, and the Clery Act.
