Gatehouse Attendant

The purpose of the Guardhouse Attendant is to monitor shipping/receiving access control and ensure the safety of all Ben E. Keith personnel to maintain a secure work environment.

* Review all relevant logs and documentation to ensure daily activities are completed in a timely manner.
* Communicate with all relevant personnel to fulfill duties accurately and efficiently.
* Support appropriate security procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all BEK personnel.
* Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
* At least 1 year of related experience required
* Knowledge of safety rules required
* Ability to use and follow safety rules and guidelines
* Proficient use of PC and knowledge of Microsoft applications required
* Ability to learn and use internal software applications as needed
* Solid interpersonal skills
* Good problem-solving and organization skills
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent work ethic
* High School Diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements:
* Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
* Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
