Responsibilities:

The Benefits Manager is responsible for directing, planning and implementing cost effective employee benefit programs, policies and procedures. Ensure programs meet employee needs and comply with legal requirements. Support the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs and act as liaison with vendor to resolve any employee issues. This position provides excellent customer service and designs quality benefits plans. The administrator continually investigates new benefits programs, benchmark existing benefits to ensure retention and attraction of employees and improves existing programs as applicable. Supervises and monitors benefits administration.

Other Responsibilities:

* Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits, enrollment, status changes and other general inquiries

* Answer policy and participant questions for Benefits

* Coordinate the benefits enrollment changes with Paychex and the Kodak team

* Coordinates benefits activities for special projects, divestitures, acquisitions

* Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations

* Manages vendor relationships

* Responsible for Benefit Claims and Appeals process

* Responsible for providing signed Plan Consents and Plan amendment updates to interested parties

* Work with outside party on design changes and Implement new benefits programs. Examine possible plan designs and benefits cost changes

Reporting/Technical Skills:

* SIP Nondiscrimination testing review - Review errors in nondiscrimination test file. Resolve the error and communicate the correction to TRP to complete the testing

* Responsible for running files for FAS87, FAS35, and FAS112, provide support to actuaries, and answer data reconciliation questions

* Form 5500 support

* Supports annual audits of Benefits

* IBNR analysis

* Update monthly medical/dental subscriber count report

* Provide EB rate input

* Approve manual pension payment instructions by 3rd party vendor to pension payroll provider

* Prepare ad hoc KRIP reports for Controllers and Treasury upon request

* Calculate amount of paid family leave owed to employee(s) and provide to Medical

* Run the SAP job that determines who is Highly Compensated - necessary for SIP Nondiscrimination testing




Desired Knowledge:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite or similar software experience with HRIS and benefits databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project and team management/leadership skills and experience
  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
  • Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills. Ability to successfully communicate with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization; interpret and relay established policies, procedures, practices, and laws. Willingness to cooperate with and influence a global and diverse HR team
  • Demonstrated skill with ownership and/or management of Benefits/Payroll projects, partnering with management teams, and effective, proactive problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to meet deadlines
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must use initiative when problem solving with minimal supervision, professionally handle confidential material and information, maintain discretion and display a high degree of trust
  • Must have great attention to detail and good follow-up skills, must be able to use initiative when presenting solutions to management
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, sound business judgment, and integrity are crucial
  • Must have the ability to deal with cultural differences across the Company
  • 5 or more years of Benefits/Human Resources experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience as an Benefits/HR Manager
  • PHR/SPHR (or equivalent) certification preferred, but not required
  • HRIS - SAP
  • Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel (e.g., creating Pivot Tables)
  • Approve the holidays for the following year, work with Purchasing and 3rd party vendor to have the calendars printed for employees
  • Invoice review and approvals
