Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: This is a Hybrid position Hours operation Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. The Member Solutions Officer II must be able to handle collections with professionalism that promotes a positive image of Member One Federal Credit Union in sensitive situations. Performs many of the same duties as Member Solutions Officer I, but are distinguished by the high level of technical knowledge which allows the incumbent to perform specialized functions that require additional experience or specialized knowledge within the department. Responsible for mitigating loss to the Credit Union by communicating with members, law enforcement, and/or legal counsel to resolve the delinquent/ negative balance accounts. Provides recommendations of necessary actions to circumstances that jeopardize the interest of the Credit Union and or as needed for the MAPS program to the Member Solutions Team Lead. - Responsible for meeting and maintaining a professional standard that supports departmental goals and objectives to include statistical measurements of individual performance based on established expectations.
- Responsible for the management of a specialized duty to include, but not limited to, mortgage collection, foreclosure actions, commercial account collection, bankruptcy handling, garnishments, repossession process, credit card collection and/or other duties that are assigned by supervisor or management.
- Performs specialized work on collection of particular loans and/or processes requiring specific knowledge of government rules, regulations, guidelines, legal documentation and procedures pertaining to their specialized area of responsibility.
- Determines most effective and economical means of collecting for each account; applies standard due diligence practices to collect monies owed; composes correspondence requiring knowledge of procedures and practices in collections and also sends a variety of standard collection letters.
- Must be able to work effectively, maintain effective communication, and coordinate with internal and external members, law enforcement, attorneys, repossession firms and other organizations for collection and recovery activity.
- Utilize various credit reporting and skip tracing services to conduct basic skip tracing on past due loans.
- Applies payments received to proper accounts, keeping accurate accounting records of each transaction; reconciles records with computer reports; makes necessary adjustments or corrections.
- Assists in any and all work pertaining to the identification and resolution of delinquent accounts.
- Ensures that all collection activity is documented and performed in a professional and legal manner.
- Assists with Member Solution Officer I responsibilities in collection on delinquent consumer accounts when required.
- Assists with responses to internal/external audit or reports and findings specific to their specialized area of responsibilities.
- Ensures that the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding the credit union, its members, and its employees are held to the highest level of business ethics.
- Performs all other related duties as required by management.

Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience Requirements: One year collection experience required. Current knowledge of collection processes and regulations for bankruptcy, garnishment, foreclosure, repossession and/or commercial accounts. Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to tactfully, effectively and professionally interact with co-workers, members, and other professionals. Current working knowledge of computers and software programs Ability to analyze trends and make recommendations to reduce risk/increase business
