Job Summary

Benjamin Moore & Co., a Berkshire Hathaway company, is a leading manufacturer of innovative, high-quality coatings for the architectural and industrial maintenance markets. Partnering with over 7,500 independent paint retailers, Benjamin Moore provides and supports the best in color matching tools and technology. We are currently looking for a Technician to join our Color Technology team.

In this role, you will work in a modern color lab to bring important color prescription, technology development, and equipment testing projects to completion. This entry-level position requires a desire to learn, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate. You will be required to work both independently and collaboratively with team members and will focus on paint color sample preparation and measurement.



Responsibilities

Carefully prepare and apply paint color samples

Utilize color measurement equipment and software

Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Maintain laboratory supplies and equipment

Adhere to all laboratory safety guidelines

Work independently as well as collaboratively with others

Participate in learning and capability-building initiatives in Color Technology and Product Development



Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience working in a laboratory environment is a plus

Color shading experience is a plus

Detail oriented with good organization and record keeping skills required

Good math and reasoning skills

Ability to understand and follow written instructions and documentation

Able to lift and move 5-gallon pails of paint (approximately 50 pounds)

Normal color vision

Basic familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and safety record
