Summary:

The Enterprise Information Technology Service Management (EITSM) Engineer is an on-site position located at Joint Base Langley - Eustis AFB, VA. EITSM provides high availability, reliability, and performance capable of supporting over 850,000 customers with accounts on Non- Secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) and Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) environments. The EITSM architecture is a three (3) -tiered architecture: a web tier, an application tier, and a database tier. The primary and backup sites are at Langley AFB & Peterson SFB with monitoring and management capabilities are located at Scott AFB. EITSM is utilized to provide incident management, change management, problem management, asset management, service request management, service level management, knowledge management, and analytics.

The primary role for this position is to support the EITSM capabilities at Langley AFB. The EITSM engineer will provide on-site and remote engineering and integration services for the architecture and integration of products to include system architecture, solution design, performance audits, system reviews, documentation and data migration. Other duties include performing site audits and technical account management such as managing third parties, providing technical assistance and mentoring as directed, as well as providing cybersecurity recommendations in support of ATO within the RMF system.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Core Tasks
    • Maintain and configure the BMC Remedy AR System server and supporting systems.
    • Administer and maintain the Remedy foundation data.
    • Administer and maintain the F5 Global and Local Traffic Managers.
    • Administer and maintain Oracle database Real-Time Application Cluster (RAC) and Grid Control.
    • Perform regularly scheduled security and maintenance patching.
    • Perform quarterly security audits of EITSM configuration.
    • Modify existing workflow or build additional workflow on a limited basis.
    • Support integration and testing of EITSM system upgrades and added capability.
    • Support integration and testing of EITSM with third-party applications as needed under the change management processes.
    • Maintain and support EITSM systems and applications in the HNI integrated test facility.
    • Minimal travel may be required only if the mission demands.
  • Risk & Compliance Management
    • Ensure compliance with DoD, Air Force, and industry security standards
    • Maintain operational readiness in accordance with procedures and policies
    • Assist in conducting risk assessments and applying mitigation strategies

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent leader with experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of network and systems infrastructure.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a mission-critical environment.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and technical personnel.
  • Familiarity with U.S. DoD & U.S. Air Force procedures and the Air Force Information Network (AFIN).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A degree in a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience or a total of at least ten (10) years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting DoD Information Network, AFIN or equivalent.
  • Information Assurance (IA) Technician (IAT) Level II Certification
  • A valid and current SECRET (or higher) security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent
  • Linux+ Certification
  • BMC Certified Administrator: BMC Remedy IT Service Management 8.x and/or equivalent
