The Microsoft Purview team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help in our mission to build cloud solutions that support premium features such as security, compliance, data governance, data loss prevention, and more, seamlessly integrating these services for Office 365 and Windows clients. We are dedicated to transforming how businesses leverage artificial intelligence by creating global-scale services that transport, store, secure, and manage the most sensitive data on the planet. ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for passionate people with experiences working with all service aspects of high throughput and multi-tenant services, ability to design componentscarefully, properly handle errors, write clean and well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability.Primary responsibilities include: * Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for features.* Implements features with efficient code that meets existing coding standards and uses established patterns, with emphasis on reusing code where it makes sense.* Embraces a systematic approach to analysis and data-driven learning through experimentation.* Identifies dependencies, creates, and drives sign-off of design document for a feature, with oversight.* Learns to break work down into smaller tasks and provide high-confidence time estimates.* Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions. Alerts stakeholders as to the status and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems. | |
