Job Summary Home Delivery Courier will ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications and medical supplies to various locations, including pharmacies, clinics, and residential homes. Return all necessary totes, coolers, medications, and paperwork to the Pharmacies at the end of the shift. Deliver prescriptions promptly, efficiently, accurately, safely, and in a courteous manner to intended recipients, both to patients and other clinics. Possess a solid knowledge of the area/region you'll be delivering to, up to 150-mile radius of Rapid City, SD. Detail-oriented to keep track of deliveries. Customer service and communication skills with customers/patients/caregivers/pharmacy team members. Maintains the security and integrity of medication and supplies throughout delivery process. Technical skills:Be comfortable using a smartphone, apps, and other delivery technology. Performs data collection as required, maintaining accurate delivery logs and other relevant records. Perform daily inspections of the delivery vehicle for any maintenance needs to ensure it is in safe working condition. Reports any mechanical issues with the delivery vehicle to supervisor. Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed when driving the delivery vehicle. Participate in all required safety training. Have and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Obey all traffic laws and be comfortable with driving in different weather conditions. All other duties as assigned. Additional Requirements Required: Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies Certification - Driver's License - State Physical Requirements: Medium work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently (34-66% of the time), and or up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
