Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to provide statewide and national leadership for the CH/LSS Domestic Foster Care and Adoption Program. As the Director of Social Work you will, plan, lead, direct, develop, implement and evaluate adoption programs statewide or national basis. The Director of Social Work will also be accountable for budget development, staff and program oversight, setting strategic direction and administration for adoption services.

Position Requirements



  • Master's Degree in Social Work (required unless Board of Social Work allows for an exception) plus 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity for adoption services or adoption program management (preferred)Valid Social Work Licensure (LISW or higher) required
  • Ability to function independently in a variety of roles
  • Ability to apply critical and strategic thinking to problem solve complex matters of concern
  • Ability to effectively and professionally advance the LSS adoption and agency mission and goals through delicate, culturally competent interaction/collaboration/communication with stakeholders at the local, State, and national level
  • Ability to interpret agency policy, state and federal licensing requirements, and other regulations in the development, management, and administrative oversight of adoption programs
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid drivers' license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle and be insurable under agency policy
  • Ability to work with and advocate for all clients served, regardless of race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or family type
