Covia, located in Chardon, OH has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Coordinator.

The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:



  • Possess general knowledge of the procurement process such as requisitions, purchase orders, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Work closely with office administration staff to resolve any discrepancies in the purchase order payment process.
  • Participate in staff meetings focused on strategic process outages and ordering of materials to optimize plant downtime.
  • Handle all areas of the procurement process such as requisitions, purchase orders, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Maintain and develop an inventory system, with controlled reorder points
  • Perform inventory checks as required
  • Participate in training provided by the Company.
  • Accept responsibility without direct supervision.
  • Operate the forklift and associated equipment for receiving and warehousing supplies.
  • Procure parts in a timely manner.
  • Manage multiple warehouses at the site.
  • Comply with MSHA rules and regulations.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.



The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 to 5 years of general administrative, purchasing, sales, or warehousing experience required.
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Computer skills demonstrated through prior work experience
  • Preference given to prior experience working in ERP system
  • Preference given to candidates with AA or AS degree
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Can independently manage themselves.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Pleasant, professional manner
