Lathe Set Up Operator
Wage: $25-$35/hour QPS Employment Group is hiring CNC Set up Machinists for a company in Delavan, WI. If you're looking for a great company to learn and grow with, this is your opportunity. Our openings are on: - Sunday-Tuesday with alternating Wednesdays from 5am to 5:30pm - Thursday-Saturday with alternating Wednesdays from 5am to 5:30pm - Thursday-Saturday with alternating Wednesdays from 5pm to 5:30am - Night shift which is Monday-Thursday from 4:30pm to 3am CNC Lathe Set Up Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Comply with all safety regulations - Comply with all Quality System requirements - Perform data entry tasks - Use a variety of measuring devices to inspect parts and verify conformance of work to specifications - Perform machine set ups for parts that require no more than 3 axis utilizing CNC Single Spindle Swiss Screw Machines and/or CNC Lathes - Adjust machine tools to maintain quality specifications - Sharpen and replace cutting tools as needed - Adjust or replace collets and bushings as needed - Replace raw material when needed to continue the manufacturing process - Separate chips from parts, wash parts, and count parts - Perform general preventive maintenance tasks on equipment - Begin to perform set ups on parts requiring more than 3 axis - Train other machinists to maintain or improve job skills - Contribute to continual improvement initiatives - Maintain departmental housekeeping standards - Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required CNC Lathe Set Up Operator Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Must demonstrate a quality and results driven approach - Must demonstrate a customer and company focused attitude - Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization - Ability to work in a team-oriented environment - Ability to read and understand documents such as blueprints, operating instructions, and procedure manuals - Ability to write standard documentation - Ability to use a computer for daily activities - Ability to perform set up tasks for parts requiring no more than 3 axis on CNC Single Spindle Swiss Screw Machines and/or CNC Lathes QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
