This defined retirement benefit requires a 12.27% monthly contribution rate and includes a 100% employer match on Day 1 Learn more at Work With Us \| Maricopa County, AZ We Require One year of experience performing clerical duties High school diploma or GED A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis We Also Value Clerical and/or customer service experience in a law office, judicial, or law enforcement environment Job Contributions Create and send electronic initial discovery packets Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional accuracy Retrieve case information from various databases, including Court database, Superior Court database, among others Pull case files from electronic calendars and assign cases for discovery packet creation Communicate effectively with attorneys, bureau leads and defense counsel via telephone and email Perform criminal history/criminal records checks and bureau-specific data entry Maintain a current Terminal Operator Certification with Department of Public Safety Assist with document delivery runs between downtown buildings Update discovery log, upload discovery, and scan documents Working Conditions Mostly office setting in high volume, fast-paced environment Requires long periods of sitting while completing computer activities Ability to travel to and from various county locations for meetings and trainings, utilizing personal or county vehicle Ability to lift boxes and pull mailcart weighing 25 - 40 pounds Hybrid and alternative work schedules are available upon successful completion of the 6-12-month probationary period Selection Procedure Only the most qualified candidates will be considered Consideration will only be given to candidates who submit online applications Candidates will be contacted primarily through email and their Workday online application profile Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive Maricopa County is an equal opportunity employer.
