Vice President, Global Supply Chain

Huntsman is seeking a Vice President, Global Supply Chain supporting the Performance Products Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Division President.

Job Scope

As a member of the Performance Products leadership team which is led by the Division President, this role is the senior most supply chain position in the division and is accountable for planning, organizing, and managing the execution of supply chain strategies to improve customer experience, optimize inventory, minimize transportation costs, and increase supply chain effectiveness and end-to-end process execution for Performance Products.

In summary, as the Vice President, Global Supply Chain, you will:

  • As a member of the Global Performance Products Leadership Team (PPLT), contribute in defining the vision, the values and the strategy for the organization and ensure its full implementation;
  • Lead the Supply Chain structure, processes & the development of systems to establish a new heightened level of efficiency and quality of delivery across all Supply Chain functions.
  • Ensure that the Supply Chain plays an integral leadership role in engaging with customer/sales needs, which are synergistically reflected in effective production plans, inventory builds & purchasing strategies delivering lowest cost and optimized service level
  • Provide robust leadership across the full Supply Chain, including but not limited to: Inventory Management, Purchasing, Customer Service, consolidated Forecasting/Demand Planning.
  • Provide site-based teams support and governance on Warehousing, Distribution & Logistics requirements in line with S&OP outputs
  • Provide leadership and co-piloting design and implementation of S&OP+ signature process globally. Represent Supply operational, forward planning and technical inputs into the business S&OP process, specifically for new product introductions, supply response to demand requests within capacity utilization and help to shape activity management lead-times for project execution.
  • Ensure an effective Supply Planning and Procurement management evaluation of the portfolio choices
  • Develop and execute a supply chain strategy for the Division which addresses customer needs, optimized footprint, deliverables and dependencies, and optimized cost and asset performance.
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, establish and implement best practices that ensure continuous supply of product balanced against inventory levels and transportation costs.
  • Analyze related functions (i.e. Customer Service, Manufacturing Shipping & Receiving, Supply Chain, Shared Logistics, Distribution) to identify synergies secure adoption of plans to realize performance improvement, including drivers of on time and in full customer results.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Business related.
  • 20+ years of experience in Supply Chain.

Skills and knowledge

  • Extensive international business leadership experience (at least 15+ years) required with a broad background in a number of different business functions.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • The ability to pull complex, multinational teams together and gain commitment from all sides to the direction in which the supply chain organization will go.
  • Strong working knowledge of chemical or oil & gas supply chain strategies.
  • Demonstrated competence in financial management and working knowledge of income statements, balance sheets and cash flow.
  • Solid in managing both domestic and international supply chain organizations. Ability to drive business through matrix organization.
  • Fluency in English is required. Other languages skills are an asset.
  • Experience in reorganization and integration. Ability to evaluate assets and operational set up and to implement process improvements within the supply chain organization.
  • Solid basis in Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Financials.
