Nantucket Cottage Hospital's Rural Health Clinic provides the majority of primary care services for both year-round and seasonal residents of Nantucket. Our team delivers care across all stages of life, from newborns to older adults, in a supportive and collaborative multi-specialty practice environment.
We are currently seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and becoming a valued member of the Nantucket community. This role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license, managing both acute and chronic conditions independently for a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have strong outpatient clinical experience. However, we also welcome new graduates who are willing to complete a structured six-month primary care training fellowship on site before beginning independent practice. Education Basic Life Support preferred Nurse Practitioner [NP] / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN] Mass license required Experience - Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings. - Ability to maintain quality control standards. - Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. - Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. - Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
