The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for life cycle management of legacy products including design, quality, manufacturing, and procurement. Also collaborates with applications engineering to ensure customer success.

Key Accountabilities
  • Aids in the technical support for legacy products, reviewing tolerance stack-ups of proposed design changes from manufacturing/quality/vendors, and performing supporting tasks such as design transfer reviews.

  • Contributes to the design and development of products with an understanding of the adherence to compliance regulations.

  • Collaborates with applications engineers to assist with custom products or field issues.

  • Technical product and design assistance to internal and external customers

  • Coordinate additional support activities such as design transfer reviews with strategic supply team.

  • Drawing, Checking, and Submitting ACAD Sales Drawings/ Submittals

  • Maintain correspondence through the concurrent engineering email box to support parts setup, vendor, supplier quality, etc.

  • Provide tolerancing assistance for Made to Order products.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical or Plastics Engineering and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, (Power Point, Excel, Word, Access)

  • Teamwork, presentation, project management, and verbal/written communication skills required.

  • ACAD/ Inventor Computer skills

  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

  • Customer Driven Sense of Urgency.

  • Must have ability to lead, train, and drive change.

  • Self-motivated individual able to multi-task effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
