Summary of the Job:

Credit Acquisitions is the operational unit responsible for adjudicating new credit card applications in the Partner segment. In support of Credit Policy, Partnership Marketing and Operations, HRG, Financial Crimes Compliance, and Card Compliance, this group reviews over 1MM applications each year.

Work will include declining pending applications and closing approved accounts based on linked data from the applications. The work currently covers consumer and small business applications and accounts with the intent to start looking at UCL and HIL

The Associate II role will possess an in-depth knowledge of credit applications and key systems; he or she will act as the Subject Matter Expert for high risk/fraudulent credit card applications. This roll will work collaboratively with the teams noted above; and will advise, influence, and recommend opportunities to enhance technology, systems, strategy, procedures, and documentation.

About This Role:

* Work special queues designated for high-risk applications
* Help identify fraudulent pending and approved credit card applications using daily reporting
* Work closely with HRG to help identify fraudulent accounts
* Analyze daily reports that identify applications with a high fraud score, suspicious employers, and other data elements
* Provide regular, dependable feedback to management on current fraud trends
* Recommending enhancements in Fraud strategies based on the trends and data
* Work collaboratively with the Fraud Operations team for research and identification of new fraud trends
* Work collaboratively with Corporate and Financial Crimes Compliance to ensure new or existing processes or strategies are implemented in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

Key Skills

* Analyze new fraud app files and document trends
* Identify potential fraud gaps in application treatment and make recommendations for enhanced actions
* Forward thinker and a good planner of actions before the issues arise and provide practical solutions
* Create and run ad-hoc reporting as needed for research or documentation purposes
* Lead projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required:
* Credit Operations knowledge/experience
* Fraud underwriting knowledge/experience
* Knowledge of mainframe and vendor systems
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; including the ability to articulate findings and recommendations
* Proven ability to work independently
* Proven ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment and with all levels with the organization
* Able to act with urgency and follow through in stressful situations for issue identification and resolution
* Proven ability to multi-task; must be detail oriented

Desired:
* Bachelor's Degree or comparable credit card knowledge
* Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
* Knowledge of credit bureau reporting and related credit tools

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $62,102.00-$102,377.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
