The Position Job TitleMortgage Early Disclosure Expert Job Description

SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for generating and delivering requisite disclosures for residential mortgage loans in compliance with the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

1. Performs duties from loans originated from any location throughout the company and/or from various Mortgage Consultants.

2. Provides excellent customer service to borrowers and internal customers. 3. Checks reports and follows up on assigned loans.

4. Ensures timely handling of all loan files within regulatory requirements of RESPA

5. Works within all posted service levels on all loans.

6. Reviews and evaluates Encompass data entry for completeness and communicates with sales staff regarding any necessary corrections.

7. Understands and adheres to mandatory compliance guidelines and attend training as required

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as requested by Executive Management or Supervisor.
  • Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
  • Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.
  • Dresses professionally.
  • Recommends to supervisor possible methods to improve department.

Education and Work Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Mortgage banking experience preferred.

Technical/Functional Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple urgent tasks.
