The Product Marketing Strategy and Operations team is responsible for organizational effectiveness and transformational programs. We help create the processes and conditions for high performance across the team. We partner closely with product marketing leadership to drive strategy, operations and planning across the product marketing organization. And we lead programs that make things noticeably better for internal and external users.

We are hiring for a Director/Sr. Director, Product Marketing Operations who will partner closely with the Head of Product Marketing and the PMM leadership team to improve operational efficiency, facilitating the development of product marketing strategy and ensuring the alignment of business objectives and practices across segments. This will range from helping us drive our planning process, to introducing playbooks to improve product launch efficacy, to creating systems and programs that make the PMM team partner more effectively with partner teams across Marketing, Sales, Commercial Excellence, and Product.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with PMM leadership for the efficient running of the PMM organization. Create processes and conditions that enable the PMM teams to do their best work, efficiently.
  • Lead change management and team up-skilling initiatives to help improve and standardize the way the PMM team works
  • Partner with the Head of PMM and PMM leadership team to develop and deploy an investment framework to guide resource allocation decisions. Use the framework in planning cycles and whenever we make key investment decisions.
  • Lead strategic, high-impact projects in support of our PMM strategy (e.g., building processes, governance, tools, and mechanisms for product launches)
  • Independently define programs to address specific problems. This includes scoping, setting goals, establishing processes, and identifying technology solutions and dependencies.
  • Prepare summaries of organizational performance and progress for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews, monthly newsletters, and all hands meetings.
  • Write clear and concise internal documents, slides, emails, and Teams messages to summarize plans, priorities, results, celebrate wins, and more. Drive alignment, inform, and lead change with effective communication.
  • Manage product marketing strategy and processes for high visibility annual projects, such as the annual sales meeting, annual customer conference, and product investment decisions
  • Bring rapid clarity to ambiguous situations, resolve them effectively, communicate decisions efficiently, and enable teams to move towards implementing solutions. Bring your experience and contextual knowledge to bear on the problems that teams need to solve.

About You
You're a fit for the role of Director/Sr. Director, Product Marketing Operations if your background includes:

  • 8+ years of marketing experience, ideally in marketing operations, program management, business operations, or strategy and operations, ideally within a SaaS organization
  • 3+ years managing high-performing marketing or programs teams
  • Effective communicating at all levels of an organization from executives to project teams across all functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish strong relationships with stakeholders and build trust with senior leaders
  • Thrive in solving ambiguous problems and see opportunities where others see chaos
  • A deep passion for understanding user needs and wants, process evaluation, and leading through change

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $156,450 - $290,550.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $135,800 - $252,200.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
