Job Duties: Analyze large data sets and condense complex information into concise, relevant, and easy to communicate results (10%). Generate original investment research with the goal of improving outcomes for our clients (30%). Responsible for research supporting the company's Risk Model (25%). Represent the work of the quantitative research team to internal stakeholders and external clients (25%). Act as a subject-matter expert in multiple investment topics such as equities, fixed income, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, etc., as well as company's proprietary methodology and data points (10%). Job Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science or other relevant quantitative or financial discipline, or foreign equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience in software engineering, finance in quantitative analyst, or related role. Alternatively, we will accept a Master's degree in Finance, Computer Science or other relevant quantitative or financial discipline, or foreign equivalent and 1 year of relevant experience in software engineering, finance in quantitative analyst, or related role. Additionally, this position requires: experience with Python and SQL within both software development and analytics environment; experience with big data framework and use of pyspark for software development; experience with mutual fund, fixed income, and equity databases, including Morningstar, FactSet, Barra, Bloomberg, or Aladdin; experience with statistical methods and classic econometric methods used in finance literature; experience with Agile software engineering practices; experience in conducting high quality research on the financial markets; experience with appraising journal articles in finance (or accounting and macroeconomics); and experience with monitoring the latest developments in the literature, particularly among equity and crypto asset classes.
