POSITION SUMMARY: The position of Janitor I is responsible for custodial upkeep of the facility and production equipment. This includes but is not limited to: cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy, and empties trash receptacles. This individual will also support nVent goals in any way that management requests with a positive attitude and be willing to flex daily responsibilities as needed. KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces. Clean and disinfect equipment. Vacuum rugs/ mats. Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces. Mix various cleaning agents. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean. Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants. Move heavy equipment and furniture. Powerboss Floor sweeping and mopping. Identify and report possible repairs. Shovel snow from sidewalks and sprinkle salt on surface. Ability to operate trash compactor Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Must have a High School education or equivalent.
