Compensation Grade: P20Compensation Details: Minimum: $70,795.00 - Maximum: $70,795.00 AnnuallyDepartment (OPH) CCH - Division of Chronic Disease PreventionJob Description: Responsibilities Health Research, Inc. is seeking a Senior Health Program Coordinator to work within the Bureau of Cancer Prevention and Control (BCPC) to assist in the coordination of policy, systems, and environmental change (PSE) interventions and evidence-based projects to improve cancer prevention and control outcomes in New York State (NYS). The incumbent will work on Bureau priorities related to promoting primary cancer prevention; early detection; and access to quality, evidence-based services for cancer survivors. The Senior Health Program Coordinator will support the NYS Cancer Consortium and Consortium Action Team activities to achieve NYS Cancer Control Plan objectives, collaborating with Consortium members on PSE strategies and monitoring implementation. The incumbent will facilitate and coordinate meetings and Action Team activities and collaborate with members to develop and disseminate promotional materials. The Senior Health Program Coordinator will coordinate Bureau contracts that implement community cancer prevention and control programs, focusing on communities and people that experience cancer-related health inequities. The incumbent will be the main point of contact with contractors and will provide contract workplan and budget technical assistance to effectively implement interventions and meet contract deliverables. The Senior Health Program Coordinator will also help identify and engage partners who represent populations and communities disproportionately impacted by cancer burden; contribute to the development of promotional materials, such as success stories and presentations, that highlight successful cancer prevention, early detection and survivorship interventions; and support the implementation of strategies that support the NYS Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience contributing to the coordination of program activities public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications
Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
