Join Albemarle as a Process Safety Advisor
Location:Magnolia, Arkansas | Supporting West & South Plant Operations

We are seeking aProcess Safety Advisorto join our high-performing team in Magnolia, Arkansas. This is a strategic role with direct influence on the safety and reliability of our operations, offering the opportunity to lead critical safety initiatives and mentor the next generation of engineers.

Your Impact

As a Process Safety Advisor, you will:

  • Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs)across all PSM-covered processes, ensuring robust risk identification and mitigation.
  • Drive safety innovationthrough advanced methodologies such as LOPA, critical instrumentation reviews, interlock verification, and MOC training.
  • Champion continuous improvementby following up on PHA findings, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Partner with capital project teamsto support PHA/LOPA needs and participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs).
  • Mentor and trainnew engineers in technical safety systems, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree inChemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum5 years of experiencein a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience inleading or participating in PHAs
  • Strong understanding of OSHA PSM standards and process safety best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency inPhast modeling, Facilex, MOC systems, and SharePoint
  • Experience in facilities handlingflammable and toxic chemicals
  • Prior leadership experience (Team Lead, Supervisor, or Superintendent)
  • Flexibility to support operations during weekends, holidays, or off-hours as needed
