As a member of Technical Operations Studios, the Technical Associate is responsible for supporting the production of assigned shows and projects. Primary responsibilities include rotating between serving as technical switcher on the 3View broadcast and as audio monitor of the PGA TOUR LIVE feeds. Also, assists in the production of any live broadcasts produced by PGA TOUR Entertainment as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience in Television, Broadcasting, Communications, or Journalism preferred.

  • Preferred 1-year relevant experience.

  • Basic understanding of television control room and studio production technology and terminology.

  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)

  • Strong golf knowledge is preferred.

  • Schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays with weekly schedule primarily Wednesday - Sunday.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Serve as audio monitor of PGA TOUR LIVE feeds with excellent attention to detail.

  • Must listen to assigned broadcasts and mute any offensive language, swearing or other comments deemed inappropriate for live broadcasts.

  • Serve as sole production person on the 3View broadcast, which is a live stream of a specific hole

  • This switching is in a live environment where this person will cut between tee and green cameras, as well as adding relevant graphics to the current action for every single shot that occurs on the designated hole over the course of all four rounds of play

  • Quality control and check in of the program output with the client to assure they are receiving both audio and video in the standard they need

  • Provide camera, stage managing and audio/lighting production support as needed.

  • Exercise strong communication and trouble shooting skills in relation to assigned productions.

  • Submit all administrative paperwork including timesheets, expense reports, etc. in a timely manner and prior to any deadlines.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include overtime on nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.
