Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to provide mission-critical software development and maintenance for the Personnel Enterprise Decision Support System (PEDSS).

This position is on-site at either The Pentagon or our Reston Corporate Office.



Duties & Responsibilities

    Design, develop, and maintain PEDSS software components, including web-based and mainframe applications.
  • Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution for military applications.
  • Implement Government-Owned Software and develop solutions to transition mainframe operations to a web-based environment.
  • Formulate and analyze software requirements, ensuring compliance with Army data security policies.
  • Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to software development.
  • Ensure PEDSS system compliance with Army standards and DoD cybersecurity policies.


Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in:
    • Systems design, development, testing, and implementation
    • Development of technical documentation
    • Applications programming and system testing
  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • SQL, DB2, CICS, COBOL, SAS, FOCUS and/or 4GL Client/Server & Web development tools
    • Army manpower and force management operations

Desired

  • An additional two years of experience as a programmer/analyst may be substituted for each year of formal education
  • Supervisory experience in leading a development team
  • Experience training users and developers on software systems and technical documentation
