RWE Supply & Trading Americas, LLC,Chicago To start as soon as possible, full time / part time, permanent Functional area:Commercial / Trading Your Future Plans An exciting opportunity has opened for an Asset & Contract Management Analyst to join our growing US Commercial Operations team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will be a key player in managing commercial contracts and optimizing our expanding wind, solar, and battery project portfolio, as well as supporting trading activities. Your work will ensure that projects transition smoothly from development to operation, driving efficiency and value for RWE. Responsibilities:
- Performa detailed examination of the commercial contracts (PPAs, ISDAs etc.) to interpret, identify and meet all obligations for commercial operation while managing customer relationships with a focus placed on:
- Actas team lead for the contract and management of PPA deliverables from development though operation phase of the project ensuring all obligations are met and in compliance.
- Support RTO/ISO coordination between RWE facilities and customers.
- Develop project roadmap establishing milestone dates and clearly communicate to all internal teams while managing the process through the construction phase of the project.
- Collaboration with Engineering & Construction, Operations & Maintenance, Back Office, Business Development, Legal, Treasury, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Transmission and Commercial ensuring the full scope of the project is in line with all conditions in the PPA
- Onboard customers as they transition from contract execution to commercial operation.
- Identify key areas of risk and sections of the contract to maintain contract compliance.
- Coordinate with legal team to send formal notices, certificates, or binding correspondence to ensure the contract obligations are satisfied.
- Project manage any disputes and damages claims.
- Manage dispatch and curtailment report to support short term optimization.
- Responsible for Renewable Portfolio Standards registration and continued accreditation as well as REC tracking system registrations and management of accounts.
- Conduct REC position report reconciliation and check position regularly for traders.
- Support negotiation of Master Trading Agreements.
Your powerful skills
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience in the energy industry (preferably regulatory or scheduling, but any will be considered).
- Experience working with contacts preferred.
- Professional experience with Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, project management tools and trading systems.
- Team player with strong customer relationship skills that can define needs and address issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication, organizational, research, and project management skills required with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to present contract information in an approachable way.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability of tasks.
- Able to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
