The Staff 2 Pharmacist in the Specialty Medication Management (SMM) Clinic will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients in various specialty populations at UCSD Health. The pharmacist will conduct virtual and/or in-person visits with patients with chronic inflammatory disorders and other unique specialty conditions, focusing on those patients on high-cost, high-risk specialty medications. The pharmacist will work under Collaborative Practice Agreements to provide patient education and counseling, optimize therapeutic outcomes, and address medication access issues, in collaboration with the SMM staff and interdisciplinary teams. The pharmacist will be responsible for maintaining a standardized medication use process and working closely with the UCSD Health Specialty Pharmacy and other pharmacies to ensure timely access to medications. Specialty areas of focus for this position include Specialty areas of focus for this position include Neurology (migraines, movement disorders, MS and more), and may also include other specialties like Cardiology. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $179,631 - $202,244 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $86.03 - $96.86 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
