GENERAL FUNCTION

The Manager, Business Development (RCM) will lead initiatives to support the identification, evaluation, prioritization, development & launch of new strategic business initiatives, investments and/or partnerships which are accretive to the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) division of Helix. This employee will actively support the sale process with strategic partners (Alliances, Buying Groups, Key Accounts) & partner with the Marketing team to create lead generation materials & events.

As a subject matter expert in the Revenue Cycle Management area, this employee will participate in the design of new offers such as new services or functionalities integrated into HELIX products. This position will require strategic collaboration across the organization, within the brand & with key external partners related to new business investments or opportunities. The Manager, Business Development (RCM) is an Optometric RCM expert that actively ensures that member service levels are of the highest quality, assists with the company vision of nation-wide success, brings subject matter expertise, & informs the industry through education, as well as focus on delivering meaningful results of the value our service.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Analyzing industry trends, the competitive landscape, & key industry players to evaluate new growth opportunities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for revenue cycle management, in conjunction with develop & present investment business plans for strategic investment activity
  • Foster strategic partnerships to support & enhance prioritized business opportunities
  • Support the development of various areas for continued RCM growth, including but not limited to inclusion of new revenue streams that can lead to new paths of servicing the customer & increasing the organic sales growth
  • Lead growth initiatives in new categories or channels for RCM services & the Helix brand
  • Manage complex new work streams within the business to drive business growth, acting as the liaison between sales & operations departments
  • Build organizational & operational requirements from concept to launch for new business initiatives while working in collaboration with the broader RCM sales team to help develop & solidify new customers
  • Support the implementation of approved new business initiatives by executing the strategic plans and business terms that have been agreed upon
  • Assist in the development of RCM & Credentialing-related content & communication presented to the market
  • Track emerging market trends & innovation as well as the competitive landscape
  • Continuing education & industry certifications to be up to date on latest industry optometric billing trends
  • Maintain strict confidentiality & adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years in developing business initiatives
  • 4+ RCM experience required
  • Very strong analytical & modeling skills; ability to interpret analytical findings into relevant, actionable & understandable business insights & actions
  • Strong communication skills:
  • Entrepreneurial drive & analytical mindset
  • Excellent prioritization skills with a clear focus on results


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • MBA Preferred
  • Optical industry experience preferred
  • Top-tier strategy consulting experience
