Job Title - z/OS CICS admin (Hybrid) Responsibilities * CICS Administrator with expertise in IBM z/OS mainframe systems to support, configure, and optimize CICS regions in a mission-critical enterprise environment. * The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing CICS transactions, performance tuning, security administration, troubleshooting, and integration with middleware such as DB2, MQ, and Web Services. Qualifications * Installing maintaining debugging and operating z/OS z/OS ISV program products for z/OS major subsystems such as CICS and DB2. * Strong knowledge and experience with SMP/E JES2 JES3 JCL ISPF dialog management & REXX. * Strong understanding and possess working knowledge of IBM Mainframe z/OS operating system. * Experience with installation upgrade and maintenance of IBM and 3rd party software like BMC Macro4 Seasoft Syncsort Qlik and SoftBase. * Sound Knowledge in Disaster Recovery Setup Experience with System Automation Performance Monitoring Communication Server CICS DB2 Control-M Batch Scheduling Change Management Storage Management ISPF dialog development * Strong Mainframe REXX programming experience * Ability to manage DB2 subsystems Installation upgrades patch fixing and problem diagnosis and troubleshooting. * Working knowledge of DB2 Internals fundaments installations and operations security interface with DB2 Strong * knowledge in IBM DB2 utilities tools BMC Catalog manager change manager Apptune Mainview etc * Strong z/OS JCL skills Knowledge of DB2 system performance tuning and capacity planning * Experience on USS (Unix System Services) and installing OPEN-Source product Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until March 21, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $73,000 - $116,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
