Job Summary

Leads the planning, implementation, and tracking of complex research projects. Develops, coordinates, compiles and edits monthly, quarterly, annual and final reports. May supervise lower-level staff or students. Provide support for STEM programs.

  • Plans, develops, and maintains procedures, equipment, and policies that have an impact in all facets of research.
  • Identifies, tracks, monitors, and communicates project-related issues, and changes in variances during implementation of projects.
  • Plans and implements research projects including coordinating the development of project scope, goals, work plans, timelines, strategies and assessing progress towards project objectives.
  • Facilitates amicable solutions with customers and functional managers for securing resources, defining project roles and responsibilities, and adhering to scheduled timelines.
  • Provides guidance and oversight to research team members; and serves as the project point of contact with faculty, and leadership.
  • Oversees and advises on research projects and investigative that includes research design, data collection and management plans, technical approaches, budget management, and funding opportunities.
  • Interprets administrative and fiscal rules and policies and may recommend new and improved programs to effectively manage administrative and fiscal administration.
  • Provides guidance and oversight of compliance with government regulations and university policies on research.
  • May supervise lower-level staff.
  • Provides support for the execution of ARC STEM programs to ensure that the goals, objectives, training and mentoring of students comply with federal agencies and program requirements.
  • Assists in development of research projects reporting deliverables to compile, edit and format reports such as monthly, quarterly and Year End reports, project technical plans, and other program related documentation, ensuring project milestones are met, measured and prepared for sponsor reporting.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in intelligence, computer science, engineering, law enforcement, or forensic science related fields and 4 years of experience; OR eight (8) years of relevant training and/or military experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Education in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management related fields.
  • Experience with project execution or related experience in program coordination, project management, environmental remediation or robotics.
